Feeding the Homeless || Week 5 term 3 ||

SEEKERS

Alofa,Katalinah,Emmanual

We have chosen the topic "Homeless"

Websites i have accessed-
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homelessness

http://england.shelter.org.uk/campaigns_/why_we_campaign/tackling_homelessness/what_is_homelessness_like

http://www.nationalhomeless.org/factsheets/why.html

We have chosen the topic "Homeless" Me and our group thought this was a good idea since the Homeless struggle to survive example: Hoping to have at least one meal each week

The Homeless won't have to struggle and waste the money they earned for the food we give them and spend it on things they need like Blankets

To make sure the Homeless has food for the week and save their money

Woodlands

What was the Indian life based on in the Woodlands?
Hunting the buffalo and simple farming

Why couldn't Indian life be the same in the Plains?
Most of the Plains was unsuitable for farming as Indians didn't have the tools to use on the difficult soil

Why was it noisy and dangerous for the Indians?
because the confused animals ran around in a circle of panic

According to George Catlin (source A) how did the Indian separate his intended kill from the rest of the herd?
by dashing his horse between it and the herd and forcing it off by itself where he can approach it without the danger of being trampled to death.

What words does George Catlin (In source B) that put across the idea that for the experts hunting buffalo was enjoyable?
The Indian who made this the everyday sport and amusement of his life there is less difficulty and danger.

The buffalo was so important to the Indians because they gave them food to survive and weapons to hunt and many other tools and the hide was used for Shelter and clothes which the Indians needed to stay warm and they could trade buffalo hide for European goods such as clothes, food and tools and many more.
